The FX-Six is a brand new multi-format (120 medium format) camera system, which offers three formats in one compact body. Compatible with the same lens cones as the Six12, the FX-Six delivers 6x12 frames as standard and also comes with 4 slot-in masks to convert to both 6x9 and 6x6 formats with the same camera and lens cones.

Like the higher-spec Six:12, the FX-Six comes with a dedicated drop-in ground glass which can be used both to setup your preferred focus distance markings on the focusing helicoid, and can also be fitted in place before loading your film to confirm your focus/composition. Unlike the Six:12, the ground glass cannot be used mid-roll as the camera is a traditional fixed design without a removable film back.

The top plate has an embedded bubble level and a pair of high quality metal cold shoes for mounting your preferred accessories like viewfinders, rangefinders, light meters or one of my mobile phone mounts (not included)

All FX-Six cameras come with one lens cone/helicoid as standard. If there is a specific lens you wish to use, and it's not listed, get in touch and a custom cone can be designed, so long as the rear element is smaller than 72mm diameter, and the shutter size is smaller than 54mm.

All lens cones are secured using a tab beneath the grip as well as a physical lock tab, ensuring a strong stable mount.

Film loading/unloading is simple, thanks to the fully removable rear door and sprung take up/rewind knobs. Both the take up and rewind knobs on the top plate are machined aluminium.

The rear door has a pair of off-centre red windows, used to quickly and easily wind on to the next frame depending on the format you are shooting. The full manual winding means that double/multiple exposures are possible. The following frame numbers are used;

 6x12 - Upper Window - No Masks Fitted - 1,3,5,7,9,11 (6 frames)

6x6 -Upper Window - Wide 6x6 Masks Fitted - 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12 (12 frames)

 6x9 - Lower Window - Narrow 6x9 Masks Fitted - 1,3,5,7,9,11,13,15 (8 frames)

 The FX-Six camera weighs only 368g, without lens/cone, making it a very compact system that you can comfortably carry in a bag, or attached via a camera strap using the strap lugs on the left side of the body.

As well as a standard 1/4" tripod thread built in to the base of the camera, there are also two Arca-compatible cutouts, allowing you to mount the camera direct to a compatible tripod head.
